Buhari, compensate PDP defectors 15 Sep 2015 4:29 AM In The PUNCH of September 10, the President Muhammadu Buhari was quoted thus: “If I choose people who I know quite well in my political party, people whom we came (together) all the way right from the All Nigerian Peoples Party, Congress for Progressive Change and the All Progressives Congress and we have remained together through good and trying times. “What then is their reward for such dedication and suffering? They did not defect because of positions; they did not involve themselves in pursuit of personal gains.” He said this perhaps to justify some of the appointments he has so far made. While not faulting him totally, the President should realise that if not for those who defected from the Peoples Democratic Party, he would not be the President today; so he should take that into consideration and do a good balancing.
