Court orders service of papers on Ekiti PDP faction 20 Aug 2015 4:40 PM An Ekiti State High Court in Ado Ekiti on Thursday ordered service of court papers on the Peoples Democratic Party faction led by Chief Idowu Faleye. The court also ordered substituted service on the PDP National Secretariat through the state chapter of the party. The court granted the orders following an ex parte application moved by the Applicants’ counsel, Oluwatobi Fatoki. The motion was supported by a ten-paragraph affidavit and supported by a written address brought pursuant to Sections 96 and 97 of the Sheriff Act and Order 7 Rule 5 (a) of Ekiti State High Court Civil Procedure Rule. The Applicants are Tunde Olatunde, Tope Aluko, Afolayan Akutupu, Tunji Olanrewaju, Mrs. Busola Oyebode, Ganiyu Bankole and Femi Ogunleye. They had gone to court to challenge their purported suspension by the Governor Ayodele Fayose-backed faction, and also seeking to stop any sanction against them. The first to 10th defendants are PDP, Idowu Faleye, Kola Kolade, Ajibola Samuel, Sina Animasaun, Mrs. Lanre Fajuyi, Kola Lawal, Babade Ige, Lateef Agbaje and Ayo Ogungbuyi. Justice Lekan Ogunmoye granted an order of substituted service on the second to 10th Defendants since personal service on them might be difficult for the Claimants/Applicants. The matter has been adjourned till October 14.
